These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the CIC website at [domain], the investor portal, start-up application portal, careers portal, and all related content and services (collectively, the "Services") provided by Community Investment Capital ("CIC", "we", "us", "our").
By accessing the Services โ including merely browsing the website โ you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

Access to the investment Services is restricted. To invest in the CIC fund, you must meet all of the following criteria:
CIC reserves the right to refuse access to any person at its sole discretion, including where CIC reasonably believes you do not satisfy the eligibility criteria or where accepting you as an investor would create a legal, regulatory or reputational risk for CIC.
To access the investor portal and participate in fund governance, you must connect a compatible XRP Ledger wallet. CIC currently supports GemWallet and Crossmark, with XUMM/Xaman support planned pending API credentials.
Investing in digital assets and crypto-asset funds involves substantial risk. The value of your investment may go up as well as down, and you may not get back the amount you invest. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future results.

The XRP Ledger is an open-source decentralised network. Nothing in these Terms affects your rights to use the XRP Ledger under its own open-source licence.
You must not use the Services for illegal or fraudulent purposes, attempt unauthorised access, transmit malware, interfere with infrastructure, engage in market manipulation, impersonate CIC, facilitate money laundering, harvest data from other users, or provide false information.
The CIC Services integrate with the XRP Ledger and third-party wallet providers (GemWallet, Crossmark). CIC has no control over the XRP Ledger network and is not responsible for its disruption, forks, or failures, nor for failures in third-party wallet software.
The Services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
Where liability cannot be excluded by law, CIC's total liability to you shall not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you invested in the CIC fund during the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) ยฃ100.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits CIC's liability for death or personal injury caused by its negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded by law.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless CIC and its officers, directors, employees, advisers, and agents from claims arising out of your breach of these Terms, violation of law, or provision of false information.
CIC may suspend or terminate your access where you breach these Terms, provide false information, fail KYC/AML, or where continuing to provide Services would breach applicable law. Sections that by their nature should survive termination โ intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, indemnification, and governing law โ shall survive termination.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute.
Dispute Resolution: Before commencing formal legal proceedings, you agree to notify CIC in writing and attempt good-faith negotiation for 30 days.
CIC may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes affecting your legal rights will be notified with at least 30 days' notice via the investor portal.
